Grand Rapids, Michigan, June 27, 2018 – Guiding Light has promoted Stephanie McKinnon to director of operations for The Job Post.
As director of operations of The Job Post, McKinnon will oversee business development, employee relations and the day-to-day management. The Job Post, a social enterprise of Guiding Light, is a hiring and recruitment firm that provides job placement services for individuals who are temporarily unemployed or are seeking career advancement.
“Stephanie’s management experience and time as senior human resources administrator for the Job Post uniquely positioned her as the perfect director of operations,” said Stuart Ray, executive director of Guiding Light and president of The Job Post. “Her knowledge of the organization and the community as well as her leadership skills will be an incredible asset to the Job post and participating companies.”
McKinnon has worked in managerial and human resources positions for more than 15 years. Prior to joining The Job Post, McKinnon worked as human resources supervisor at XPO Logistics, Inc. and director of recruitment at ITT Technical Institute. McKinnon earned her bachelor’s degree as well as her master’s degree in business administration from Davenport University.
“In my role as senior human resources administrator of The Job Post, I was able to grow the organization, improve efficiency and increase revenue,” McKinnon said. “I’m excited for this next step as the director of operations to continue that trajectory and make The Job Post successful for both employees and the companies they work for.”
McKinnon volunteers as a youth soccer coach at a local YMCA. A native of Greenville, McKinnon lives in Ada with her husband and seven year old daughter.
