Your giving fuels real change!
Moving from death to life is made possible by you.
It’s not uncommon for men and women struggling with chronic substance abuse to overdose or be hospitalized. Your giving fuels the programming, relationships, resources, and high expectations that move men and women out of the chaos of addiction – and the high possibility of death – and into living a different way in this world. Your support offers both hope for today – through meals, shelter, clothing – and hope for a future they could never have imagined – sober, employed, restored to God and family.
What is Guiding Light?
What is Guiding Light? We are a Christian non-profit dedicated to helping men and women recover from substance abuse addiction at no financial cost to them. We also provide food, services, and support for our community. We are 100% donor-funded and could not do what we do without donors like you.
Celebrating One Year of Sobriety
Watch a short video of one of our favorite events! This particular video is of six graduates of the Guiding Light Recovery program who celebrated one year of continuous, abstinence-based sobriety in May 2024. These men worked hard to live a new way in this world. Watch their testimonies above!
Welcome to Iron House
We celebrate Chaz and Jerry as they make the next step in their sobriety journey: intentional sober living in community. Upon graduating the Guiding Light Recovery program, participants have the opportunity to move to Iron House. Iron House consists of five 4-plex buildings of renovated two-bedroom apartments, all for long-term housing where men are hard at work, paying rent, participating in community, and living sober.
