Guiding Light Adds Paul Davies to Board of Directors

In addition to his business management and communications skills, Davies is also dedicated to the principle of service. As a veteran, Davies served for 10 years in the Fort Custer National Cemetary Honor Guard, rendering military honors to veterans interred there.

“We are delighted to welcome Paul to our board of directors,” said Brian Elve, executive director of Guiding Light. “His experience with the recovery community and his status as a veteran, along with his business management skills, will be a great asset in guiding our organization’s current efforts and future growth in rescue, recovery and reengagement.”

During his career, Davies has served on the board of the Battle Creek VA Veterans and Family Council, as well as having held various offices in area churches. He also served for six years on the board of directors of two Grand Rapids-area addiction treatment centers.

Davies holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in interpersonal communication from Western Michigan University.

He also holds multiple certifications in arbitration and mediation from the National Council of Better Business Bureuas and the Michigan State Supreme Court Administrative Office.

Guiding Light has welcomed Paul Davies, principal of The Mediator Group, LLC, to its board of directors. Davies brings 37 years of experience in sales, marketing and business administration, with 31 of those years spent with 3M Healthcare in West Michigan. Davies has focused his career on assisting organizations improving their work environments and the performance of their teams.
