Thank you for considering Guiding Light as an outlet for your talents, treasures and time.
Cash donations give Guiding Light the most flexibility, but there are certain items that our men always need.
In anticipation of a difficult winter and reduced shelter capacity due to the pandemic, we are seeking our community’s help to collect cold weather necessities for those experiencing homelessness. Please view the list below for current needs.
Guiding Light will accept cold-weather donations by pickup only in order to limit contact. Too coordinate a donation pickup, please call Mark at Guiding Light, (616)451-0236.
Donated items MUST be new and delivered to the front door (not the side parking lot). Donated items will be shared with other Heartside neighborhood organizations and ministries.

White t-shirts and underwear for men (Medium, large and XL sizes)

Because Guiding Light is a 501(c)3 non-profit registered with the State of Michigan, your in-kind donations may be eligible for tax deductions. Please consult your tax advisor for eligibility requirements.
Additional opportunities for giving:
We strive to be good stewards of the building and properties we own. We work continuously to maintain them. Throughout the year, we need help with certain projects, which are above and beyond our standard maintenance.
But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’
