What Alli does at Guiding Light:
I build relationships with community members while sharing the success stories of the men and women at Guiding Light made possible through their generous donations.
Favorite part of the job:
I love knowing that the changes made here not only help our participants, but generations to come as well. The ripple effect is pretty amazing!
Freetime fun:
I love rock collecting on the beach in Northern Michigan, snuggling with my two boys and a good true crime podcast or documentary.
Favorite Guiding Light Experiences:
One year sobriety celebrations are by far my favorite times at GLR. I love hearing about the changes that a year makes in a person’s life as they do the hard work in recovery and reconnect to God, family, and community.
Favorite place to eat:
My favorite place that I’ve ever ate is a small beach pop-up tent in Caye Caulker, Belize. However, more locally, I love a small taco shop in Rockford called FnK Tacos.
Favorite GLR lunch question:
“What is something you are unwilling to let go of?”
Some say things like their late night snack or something trivial at first, but when the honest and truly reflective answers come out that is where I can see change and growth happening.
