Guiding Light Women’s Collective is a community of women who believe every woman deserves the opportunity to heal from addiction. Whether you’ve been personally impacted by addiction, have supported a loved one, work in a helping profession, or simply want to better understand the unique challenges women face, the Women’s Collective offers a place to learn, build relationships, and make a meaningful difference.

Together, we are committed to deepening relationships, increasing awareness, and supporting the Guiding Light Women’s Recovery Program. Through quarterly educational and social events, volunteer opportunities, philanthropy, and regular updates, you’ll connect with like-minded women who are passionate about helping more women find hope, healing, and lasting recovery.

Why It Matters

Addiction doesn’t discriminate

1 in 12 women struggled with substance abuse in the past year, crossing all education, income, and employment levels. Women experience unique challenges when seeking help, often burdened with a history of trauma, heightened stigma, and caregiving responsibilities.

Women’s recovery programs in West Michigan are hard to find.

These programs often require insurance and significant out-of-pocket costs, creating insurmountable barriers for many women. The Guiding Light WRP is a high quality, long-term option that’s completely free, no insuranced needed, thanks to the continued generosity of our donors.

About the Guiding Light Women’s Recovery Program

The Guiding Light WRP is an intensive drug and alcohol treatment program designed to give space and time to engage in transformational change. The women live at a residence together and attend day-time programming at a separate location. Our program addresses co-occurring disorders, livable wage employment, and affordable housing. Combining evidence-based practices, health and wellness, life-coaching, therapy, support groups and resources empower women to stay sober and live life in a new way.

Entirely free to participants, the program offers women a safe environment, basic life needs, family support, and individualized care. Our goal for women is lifelong recovery and a new way of being in relationship with the world, where they can live fully, secure in employment and housing.
