What April does at Guiding Light:

I am in charge of the food service at Guiding Light. I supply both the Men’s and Women’s programming with nutritious food, and work with other organizations by donating food to their food programs. Lastly, I cater most of the events at Guiding Light.

Favorite part of the job:

Working so close with the men and women while they are in Guiding Light’s program. I get to see their transformation firsthand and they all amaze me with the hard work they put in.

Freetime fun:

Spending time with my grandchildren and watching them grow.

Favorite Guiding Light experiences:

The community meal for thanksgiving that we put on every year. I am truly blessed to see the smiles on the Heartside community members’ faces as they enjoy a hot meal.

Favorite place to eat:

Olive Garden. Their fried lasagna bites are delicious.
