Avery came to the doors of 255 Division Avenue in late 2019 hoping to be admitted into Guiding Light Recovery.
Guiding Light Recovery is a professional, holistic and all-encompassing four-month substance abuse treatment program for men struggling with addiction.
Derek is 27 years old and a recent client of Guiding Light’s Recovery program. He works full-time and lives at our sober-living apartments called Iron house.

On Wednesday, September 30th the Builders Exchange of Michigan met with representatives from Guiding Light to present the proceeds from their recent charity golf outing.
Wednesday “check-in” is a time for the men enrolled in our four-month program to discuss their week so far, and to voice any concerns they have with staff or each other.
