On Saturday, Iron House residents and former Guiding Light Recovery clients Jimmy and Kevin packed their belongings for the next step in their journey, moving to their own place.
Years of drinking and drug addiction had led Javier away from his family, his relationship with God, and from his home in southern California.

Thanks to Guiding Light, Javier has a strong foundation with a lot of the focus points – willingness, honesty, self-compassion.
Hank spent his first four months here devoting his time and energy to his sobriety, and learning how and where he would go from here.
Derek is 27 years old and a recent client of Guiding Light’s Recovery program. He works full-time and lives at our sober-living apartments called Iron house.
Since 2010, Guiding Light has been removing negative words like “broken” from its values and messaging to better foster a constructive community of faith.
