Derek is 27 years old and a recent client of Guiding Light’s Recovery program. He works full-time and lives at our sober-living apartments called Iron house.
Tom found his way to Guiding Light after losing a job he had held on to for over 20 years and numerous failed attempts at sobriety through various short-term stays in detox facilities.
On Friday the staff members and men of the Recovery program held a virtual meeting with Guiding Light Spiritual Directors, board members, volunteers, and supporters.
Wednesday “check-in” is a time for the men enrolled in our four-month program to discuss their week so far, and to voice any concerns they have with staff or each other.
On Wednesday, August 19th at 6 pm, Guiding Light will host its second Virtual Ministry Update.
Spiritual discussion is a time when a man in the program is given about half an hour to talk to his peers about his spiritual journey in recovery.
